“Anthropic Glow Series, an ode to Planet Earth”

   The ongoing series “Anthropic Glow Series, an ode to Planet Earth” aims to research climate change and the effects it has on the world’s ecosystems and its inhabitants in order to create powerful visual artworks capturing the catastrophic ecological damage juxtaposed with fragments of untouched landscapes. This series means to raise environmental awareness and emotionally connect with the viewer in the universal language of art. These concepts morph into representations of major environmental disasters such as mass forest fires, unpredictable storms, heavy rains, floods, drought and more, sometimes hidden within an ethereal landscape or fully represented for what it is. The title Anthropic Glow is an ode to mother earth and how we as humans marvel at her magic and destruction just the same, knowing we are the cause and the possible cure, aware that change can be made or that it may be too late, yet we remain unable to look away in the face of earthly disaster. It’s the real present-day landscape that’s calling to be painted.
