"Nesting" Installation Niagara Falls Night of Art 2020, Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada.
This recycled/eco art installation is a representation of nesting as a result of naturally seeking habitat and a place to call home in lieu of all-encompassing isolation and loneliness culminating in forms of hives. The hive shape is an ode to the importance of awareness for the diminishing bee population in all of Northern America due to climate change and the use of harmful pesticides. The idea of togetherness represents the strength of community here in Niagara and beyond. The plants signify the influence of bringing gardening and biodiversity into urban landscapes. The use of recycled materials and garbage collected from the shores of Lake Ontario is an attempt to use non-biodegradables in efforts to reuse and raise awareness of the ongoing pollution and destruction of Earth as well as opening the human experience and stream of consciousness to creative ways of innovation. This project comes with the opportunity for a multitude of perceptions through audience interactions and imagination, the conceptualization of what nesting means to me is just one version of interpretation.

"Moonsprouts" Installation In The Soil Arts Festival 2015, St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada.
Dreaming is to be immersed in a series of thoughts, images, and sensations composed of our earthly experiences merged with pure imagination floating in one unconscious space usually during slumber. The world within one’s mind during a naturally induced melatonic state of hallucination is a forever a wandering orb of illusions that cannot be recreated or revisited with simple desire or thought. It is in the recollection of these dreams that we have the ability to gather materials and natural elements to create these illusions of physical matter as a realization or expression of the magical world behind closed eyes.
moonsprouts.
once upon a moonsprout there was a sublime green earth
neither money nor diamonds could measure its worth
the flowers were filled with spirit and the creatures with soul
skies of glowing stars and rose court orbs, seedlings of a majestic-black-hole
fungi thriving in the moonlight singing melodies of suns to pass
a little wandering marble on the periphery of our universe at last
